Swifty Beats

Asian House Producer / DJ

Percussion to house

Swifty Beats is an Asian House producer and DJ, working the rare space where South Asian percussion and dhol heritage meet house and electronic production.

Swifty Beats in the studio

The story

It started as a dream, dhol in hand at a school assembly, seven years old. That same instrument would go on to carry him to stages worldwide. Loud, heavy, built for the crowd: the beginning of a lifelong obsession with rhythm that runs through everything he makes.

At fifteen he co-founded Pure Divine Sounds, turning a bedroom setup into a collective and a name that travels. By the time he turned twenty he had played Wireless and Glastonbury, carrying dhol and South Asian percussion into main-stage electronic sets.

The catalogue spans remixes, bootlegs and original music. Tracks have reached BBC Radio, and the streams have passed five million, built without a label pushing it.

That heritage is the foundation for what comes next. Asian House Volume 1, the debut EP, keeps dhol and South Asian rhythm at the centre while pushing the production further than ever. Lead single 'Let Me Go' is out now.

“Very few artists occupy the space where dhol and South Asian percussion meet contemporary house and electronic production. Swifty Beats built a career there.”

The route

  1. DHOL

    It starts on the dhol

Rhythm before melody, discipline before everything else. Loud, heavy, built for the crowd: the instrument that started it all.

  2. 15

    Pure Divine Sounds

At fifteen he co-founded P.D.S, turning a bedroom obsession into a collective and a name that travels.

  3. LIVE

    Wireless. Glastonbury.

Before turning twenty he played landmark UK stages, carrying South Asian percussion into main-stage electronic sets.

  4. BBC

    On the radio

Original tracks and edits reached BBC Radio, moving the sound from the club to the airwaves.

  5. 5M+

    Five million and counting

A catalogue of remixes, bootlegs and originals passed five million streams, built without a label pushing it.

  6. Now

    Asian House Volume 1

The next chapter: a debut EP built on the same foundation: South Asian rhythm at the centre, house production doing the rest. Lead single 'Let Me Go' is out now.
